The CRI of Margao Deanery organised a day of prayer at the Carmelite Monastery Margao on 7th September 2024 from 9.00 Am to 12.00 Noon.
The 30 participants gathered at 9.00 AM in the hall for a talk given by Fr Diogo Proenca OCD. The talk was based on “Pilgrims of Hope” He took the passage from the Gospel of Luke chapter 24:13-49 inviting all to share together on this passage. Father focused on how the two disciples on their journey to Emmaus had lost hope and discouraged at the death of Jesus.
After their encounter with the Risen Lord and the breaking of bread they went back to Jerusalem because they encountered the Risen Lord which revived their hope. As consecrated disciples of Christ we are invited to experience the Lord in the midst of hopelessness, doubts , challenges, chaos and even in our brokenness.
After the talk there was a tea break followed by time for personal Prayer and reflection.
From 11.00 am to 12. 00 noon the Carmelite Fathers and Postulants conducted a meaningful adoration focusing on the theme Pilgrims of Hope. After the adoration Sr Justina HC delivered a vote of thanks which was followed by a group photograph of all the participants.
